This is an initial foray into understanding the perception of time in sociable media. The visualization is a three-dimensional interactive environment—perhaps the future interface of a voicemail inbox—where two users (blue and gray) are represented with their mobile phone call data (e.g., location, duration, quantity).
As one navigate the environment—by panning and zooming from the perspective of a virtual camera—they can view each's call (represented by a picture) and compare the communication patterns of these users spread over a period of three months.
