Cross Meridian Narratives I X

This project is conceived as a preliminary study of a two step project, investigating models of active participation in experiencing narratives. It includes investigations with an active (movable) LCD display and a projection based system where the perception of the narrative is co-authored with the participant.

A computer communicating with a PIC chip (via serial port) is computing the sequence and duration of every frame based on the movement patterns of the viewer detected by a series of photo sensors. The projection based version is a study on different algorithms for sequencing events, and observing potential movement patterns performed by the participants.
