Cross Meridian Narratives II X

This project is an investigation in progress with an active display narrating a series of short stories on the nature of crossing (boundaries, borders, ethical and cultural limits). This is intended to be a reflection on the culture of visual essays in the age of interactive narratives, where the screen is conceived as an agent that in designing the process of perception by delivering the story with the viewer who is literally moving along the screen rather than passively contemplating on the content.

A computer communicating with a PIC chip via serial port is computing the sequence and duration of every frame based on the movement patterns of the viewer. The PIC is controlling the sensors, and a stepper motor drives the LCD display.
