Smart Mobility Bus Stop (2006) <<

(part of the design team from the MIT Mobile Experience Lab and MIT Design Lab)

Smart mobility bus stop is an interactive urban landmark, which hosts a number of applications that allow a neighborhood to express its social, cultural, economical and political nature.

These applications provide the context for a variety of services (e.g., location based messaging, trip planning, etc.) and are grouped around a virtual urban botanical garden metaphor.

The project is commissioned by the French authorithy of public transit (RATP) for an exhibition to celebrate the 100th year of bus transportation in Paris.

Specific Project Role:
Urban botanical garden concept and interaction design.
Member of the sensing and display technology design group.
